Youth Programs

America’s young people are its most precious resource.

This is why, for many years, Exchange has sponsored an impressive selection of activities designed to benefit and encourage our nation’s youth. Many of these richly rewarding programs are among the most popular and well-supported of all Exchange Club endeavors.

Our Jacksonville Exchange Club participates in the following Youth Programs:

BOY AND GIRL STUDENT OF THE MONTH / YEAR

– We select a Boy and a Girl Student of the Year from participating public and private high
schools in the Jacksonville area, and honor them by hosting an awards luncheon for them
and their parents.
– We then select one city-wide Boy Student of the Year and one Girl
Student of the Year, who are awarded scholarship monies.
– Our Student of the Year award recipients are also eligible to compete for additional scholarship monies at the annual state-wide Florida District Exchange Convention.

ACE AWARD –

The “Accepting the Challenge of Excellence” (ACE) Award is awarded to a high school student who has overcome significant adversity, but has managed to persevere and be on-schedule to matriculate with their graduating class. ACE award winners come from a variety of backgrounds and often have significant medical issues or other physical limitations that have impacted their lives.

AMERICANISM SPEECH CONTEST

–High school students compete for scholarship monies by preparing and delivering a speech on a patriotic topic that has relevance to them.

Contest winners are eligible to compete for additional scholarship dollars at the state-wide Florida Exchange District Convention.
